I bought three different watering cans from stores and didn’t like any of them. Hard to pour, too much water come out and spout is too large, etc.I used to use a Japanese watering can (about $6 there) and looked for a similar one and this is the closest I found so far. It’s smaller and A LOT MORE expensive ($21) but I like the gentle water shower so it doesn’t hurt sprouts.I can’t fill up water all the way to top (water comes out from opening when you tilt) and It did leak from the spout joint. I followed someone’s comment and used a skinny rubber band to fix the problem.Hopefully this watering can last some years or I’ll have to get my favorite one from Japan!I have been an avid indoor and outdoor gardener for over 40 years. During that time I have purchased at least a dozen watering cans, and I never found one that really felt well engineered- until now. I know this product doesn't look like much, and it is pretty simple, but they have simply gotten all the details right.First, it holds the right amount of water for indoor or light outdoor watering. Enough to do plenty of plants without being too heavy. Second, the handle shape allows you to hold the can over the middle of the water for better balance for delicate watering, or at the back, which combined with the long spout allows you extra reach for plants that are behind other ones, or to get down to plants in the ground to gently water them without bending over. I bring in dozens of plants to my garage to overwinter them, and they are stacked in three tiers on a glass table. I'm finally able to comfortably water the ones at the back.Third, the small sprinkling head allows for a very gently spray while still releasing water at a fairly fast rate. And fourth, the straight spout means the watering stops as soon as you lower the handle- unlike curved ones that like to keep dribbling on after you want them to stop.I can't believe how much more pleasant my watering chore has become with this can. It did take a few weeks to get here from China, and I would love to be able to buy a domestically made one if such a product existed, but after much searching this is the best I have found.Get one while you can (no pun intended). I'm concerned that this is the first review, as I've had mine for almost a month and was just reminded I hadn't written a review yet, so it may not be selling well I'm tempted to buy another just in case, but it appears well enough made to survive anything short of being run over by my car.I have bought many watering cans in my life, none of which worked the way my parents watering can worked when I was young - a gentle spray, and easy to handle. The spray of this watering can is exactly what I was looking for - for watering newly planted seeds without washing them away, or watering gently on delicate plants. Every other watering can I have used dumps water at a rate that I could have moderated better with my garden hose nozzle, straight from the house faucet. The head alone in this waterer is wonderful - it can be rotated to the best advantage and also removed to possibly clean out any debris that is trapped. I just got this, but I know it will be a great watering tool.I bought this to replace a watering can that leaked. it is a nice style and design, good size (kind of hard to find a sort of big can) and I liked the color, but this one also leaks! pretty disappointed. too "lazy" to return, so I just have to be careful when I use it to make sure the leak is also over the pot. I also think it was a little expensive for a simple plastic watering can, and especially one that leaks.I bought it this for watering seedlings. It was what I was looking for because you can rotate the water shower head upward to create a softer stream for the seedlings. In order to do this properly and to have the right "pressure" in the watering can it needs to be full, but not too full or else the water comes out of the middle. I wish the water reserve on the can was bigger- then the pouring time would be longer. overall its still worth having.I've searched high and low for a watering can with decent capacity (nearly one gallon) that has the correct water flow from the rose at the end of the spout. This one is perfect. The water flow is fast enough for watering small 4" nursery pots while still giving good control over total water volume. Not sure if I would use it for watering newly sown seeds, but for seedlings, the water flow is gentle enough that it doesn't knock them flat. This has become my go-to watering can for small scale greenhouse operations. I can water an entire table of 25-30 1020 trays in fifteen minutes without oversaturating the seedling pots.Had a Dramm for a few years which was a great watering can but 5-liters was a bit large. When the Dramm handle finally gave in, I decided on this one which is smaller but perfect for the half dozen or so container plants on my balcony. The sprinkling head has a lot of small holes that provide a gentle but generous spray. It's well-enough made and does not leak. Happy with this purchase.I really like it. But if you’re trying to water something above shoulder height it’s very difficult without a handle that curves around. No leaks at the joints.I wanted a metal Haws can but could not find one in Canada so I got this and I am not disappointed. It's a good size to water my 20 or so bonsai. It has a very gentle spray and the perfect flow rate to not disturb the soi. To make it even better it doesn't leak in the slightest (at least there are no leaks yet).BeautifulJe suis vraiment contente de cet achat. Sa petite pomme permet un jet doux sur les petits semis. Merci.
