I just got them today and they are identical to the two I still have that came in c-ration cases when I went through basic training in 1971. One is on my old dog tags chain and the other is on my key ring and has seen a lot of use over the last 51 years. When I saw these listed, I had to get them for, just in case. Unlike the others that are " just like", these are the real thing and not even made in China.Exactly as advertised and as I expected. I only gave this product three stars for "easy to use" because, face it - it IS a P-38, and not a countertop electric can opener!These little gems were designed to perform a needed function - opening cans (and occasionally serving as a screwdriver or fingernail cleaner), while being extremely small yet durable And it does these things well. I mentioned "durable" - I've carried the same one on my key ring for over fifty years, and it still functions perfectly.For many years I've tried to keep two or three loose in a pocket, handy for "spot" rewards when on Boy Scout outings. And fun to occasionally hand to some older gentleman wearing a "Veteran" ball cap - always brings a smile.I need to order more!I buy these in bulk and hand them out to older Veterans that live in my area. They ALWAYS bring a smile!!!These can openers are great. I keep one on my key chain and one in my lunch box. They are well made and very sharp. Great thing to have around and carry with you.I dont like how these imitation can openers open in your pocket and stick you in the thigh! The original i received in the military. Its almost identical to the cheap imitation i bought at Walmart for camping, it works but not as nice.It works well and is easy to use. SmallI’m older and it is hard to us. But it will open anything and is fun.Excellent for back backing and camping. I keep one on my keychain. Useful as a make do screwdriver!
